Worried about what could go wrong?

It's common for people to focus on what could go wrong when they encounter a new situation or potential change. They can even worry about things they've done many times before, even if those things went well in the past!
But this state of mind can be a) limiting (we avoid things) and b) exhausting (it uses up a lot of mental energy pointlessly).
Imagine if you stopped worrying about what could go wrong and instead focused on what could go right? Your mind is capable of finding solutions to help you achieve what you want.
With a little bit of prompting, it will work away in the background, coming up with the necessary steps to achieve what you are thinking about.
So focus your thoughts on how you want things to be, rather than how you don't want them to be. Think about things going right.
Really - try it today and see where it takes you!
Put aside ten minutes to sit quietly and work on a picture of how you'd like a certain area of your life to be. You could even write it down. This shows your brain the destination you'd like to reach - a bit like inputting it to a satnav system. Like your GPS or satnav, your brain will go off and work out the best route to get you there!

And if you find your thought patterns are stuck on a loop - worrying, catastrophising, staying where you are in your head and in life - then clinical hypnotherapy can help. It is highly effective at breaking negative cycles and creating new, positive ones.
Solution focused hypnotherapy is based on the latest psychotherapeutic methods and techniques. It has been informed by clinical research and the advances in neuroimaging that we've benefitted from in the last 20 to 30 years.
