What's a positive interaction? Here's an example!

Part of the journey with solution focused hypnotherapy is to focus on the 3Ps: Positive thoughts, positive actions and positive interactions.
Here's an example of a positive interaction I just had. I was waiting outside the vet's in the rain. Another lady was waiting. We struck up a conversation. (We're both British so obviously it started with an observation about the weather! 😆).
I pointed out the positives of the change of season: that I was looking forward to getting out the slow cooker and eating hearty winter food; firing up the wood burner and so on.
By the end of the conversation we'd exchanged numbers so she could message me the title and author of the book she is reading. Sure enough, once she was home and had reminded herself, she texted me the details. Not only that, but she's offered to loan me the book. So I'll message her next time I am passing by her neck of the woods and pick it up.
So, what could have been a conversation moaning about the weather - sticking us both in our primitive, negative minds - turned into positive interaction that will lead to a further positive interaction when I borrow the book. See how this works?! 😁
